The boat wasn't yet in the water so I had to find a place to clam that I could get to from the shore.  It took some investigating but I found a reasonably good spot.  The water was somewhere around 50 degrees and at one point about a cup of it spilled into the front of my waiters.

Hard Earned Easter Treat

Not the biggest take of the season, but without a boat and in 46 degree water I was pretty pleased with the haul.

Tools of the Trade

The photo isn't blurry, the lense is fogged from me breathing on it while I was setting up the camera.  Notice the waders that I found at a yard sale for $10.  The clam rake was $8 at a different yard sale.  The Craig's Custom Clam Basket is an old basket that my Grandfather had with an even older life jacket tied around it for a float.

Clams on the Half Shell

Yes Carrie, they are all legal.  Amazing how long it takes to catch and prepare these suckers and how fast they disappear.

Lovely Day for Clamming

Scary huh, what a mug.  Not to give away my secret Easter clamming location, but that is St. Gabriel's in the background.
