In July Rob Scott mentioned that we had to do some fishing in the Fall.  It took some planning but we settled on the second weekend in November, the weather couldn't be worse -- a hurricane came through, but we managed to get one day of fishing in and knocked  back a ton of Blues.

Early Morning with Rob

We wanted to make sure that the one day that it looked like we could get the plum got that we got out early.  There is something special about seeing the sun rise on Congdon's Creek.

My Mug Early and Cold

Wow this Jacket was a life saver, the day before Rob spotted it at the IGA for $30.  It was rough enough on the way to the Gut that we got a fair amount of spray over the bow and it came in very handy.

Furious Fighters

It took us a couple hours of trying a smorgasbord of baits before we switched to jigging and found the action.  Once we got the technique it was Fish On! every drift.

Bringing up a Monster

Rob got into the fish first with Jigs and I immediate started snapping shots.  After one fish came and we started catching fish, I kind of forgot to take many pictures.

Action Pose

Unfortunately the Rod isn't bending at the moment, but that smile after two days of waiting for Hurricane Neil to clear says it all.  Fish On!

Reel it In

By midday the sees started to sit down, but we had been battling 6 foot swells all morning.  Other boats arrived in earnest once the sun came out.
