In January Matt said as we all do from time to time 'This year we are going to Ocean City to Golf'.  Of course he meant it, but I'm not sure he expected me to say 'You bet we are'.  Joe and Randy joined us and we played 99 holes of golf in 4 days.

We played 27 holes at Bear Trap, 18 holes at Bayside Resort, 18 holes at the Beach Club, 18 holes at The Links at Lighthouse Sound, and 18 holes at Baywood Greens.  All great courses.  Ocean City is only 4 hours away and a great alternative to Myrtle Beach.

I'd go again, maybe we'll make it a tradition to go during Master's weekend and get the Golf season off to a great start.

Matt hitting out of the Sand

This is at Baywood Country Club.  I'm in love with this shot  .. the daffodils in the background and Matt with his immaculate golf posture.  If you look real close you can see the golf ball still on it's way up out of the sand.

The Hollywood Diner in Dover Delaware

We started our trip off right with a wonderfully greasy breakfast at the Hollywood Diner.  For less than $20 Matt and I each ate two full plates of food.

Above Average Courses

This is a shot from Bayside Country Club a wonderfully hard par 4.  Condos and lots of water to the left cart path and bunkers to the right pick your poison get a good read on the length you've been driving, close your eyes and swing away.

Mist on the Driving Range

Bayside Driving Range.  The mist burned off quickly and we had a beautiful day.   The practice facilities at all of these clubs make obvious how lacking Long Island Public courses are.

Joe's Magic Jacket

Joe's jacket was the key to the weather.  If he took it off the sun would go behind a cloud or the wind would kick up.  According to him it also affected his swing negatively, so he kept his jacket on and we had great weather.

Leaving it on the Practice Green

Bayside Resort Practice Green.  The fog is lifting and the weather is looking very promising.  Matt's putting is looking promising as well.
