If you live in a development that has a homeowners association, complain to them and keep filing complaints. I live in an area with a homeowners association and live next door to some trash and I warned my boyfriend that no matter where we live no matter how nice & quiet the neighborhood there will always be neighbors such as those. I complained to my association and my landlord who is on the board of directors. Since then, the block has been quiet and when the girl next door has her parties she holds them inside her house not in the backyard until three in the morning. As for the note, don't be sheepish, go over there and confront them.

my neighbor downststair is having sex with my husband this been going on for two years. Im legal marry to this man 37 years. They are doing all kinds of things telling people im crazy having people call me on my phone sending bunk mail to to my mail box ringing my bell doing the night coming in my apartment taking things out and bring then back weeks later. I have not caught then because she live down stair and i live up stair she is a new york city cop her first name is jessica my husband name is william you might no him by another name he is a older man the lie he are telling that i treat him bad alot of things did happen over 17 years ago in our drinking days before i came to no the lord he is useing the past to get people to do what he want. will someone who knows what im talking about please come forward so these to people can be put in jail for the evil things they are doing he is doing things to me he will do it to you

I have this neighbor in Des-Moines WA in Marina Club Apt., these people are so rude and making a lots of noise above me and when they see you, they can't even said hello. All they do is making noises and stare at you.

I don't really have much to say with the exception of one tiny statement; the woman "Mary" who has the cop downstairs that is supposedly sleeping with her husband is the exact reason this probably isn't the best idea!?! If she really believes this, it wouldn't be difficult to prove. With technology the way it is today, and being an ex-private investigator and bounty hunter, I can assure you it's not too hard to accomplish. So, let me know what you think..any feedback to this craziness has got to be helpful.

I guess I see the pros and cons to this. Seems the ideal answer would be, simply put..don't be a bad neighbor and you don't have to worry about it! What happened to the days of getting to know your neighbor? Of backyard barbeques and sittin around talking with the kids running around playing..to Saturdays spending the day doing nothing and everything..together..having the friends over to play cards, cook out, maybe even go to dinner once in a while. What happened to NOT being afraid of reaching out to the people you are going to live around for no telling how long..and getting to know who they are. Knowing that if you leave, they will keep an eye on the place for you. Not be in your business, but know if something isn't right and knowing when to get involved and when not to? What do you think? Do you think if you are paying your bills and minding your business and not doing anything you shouldn't be; do you think a neighbor should be able to make bold statements about you with no rhyme or reason? If they just don't care for you, should that give them the right to go on a website and make claims about you or those you love?
However.....does your neighbor have the right to yell and fight all night long while you're trying to sleep, or you have a sick child who is? Does a neighbor have the right to have loud obnoxious parties way into the wee hours of the mornin when you have to get up at 4:00am to go to your job? Does your neighbor have the right to invade your space and do as they please and no one know? This discussion could go on and on...hopefully it will...

We have a neighbor who is sweet as sin until she doesn't get what she wants then she becomes an attack dog on crack. She will lie, use and generally cause trouble all the while claiming innocence with poison dripping from her fangs. This narcissistic and self serving nieghbor is the epitomy of the term user and god forbid you don't help her or call her bluff espeacially if you catch her in a lie. Although everyone lies she lies for no reason and then lies to cover up her misdeeds. I have never seen someone act so juvenile while claiming such vast intelligence that the gods themselves hide from her, which is what most of the tenants in our brownstone resort to. So beware of the creature of 790 ponce deleon place #11. This is one walking talking investment scam that can't wait to find it's next victim and don't get us started on this creatures nasty habits.

My husband and I just moved into this wonderful NEW home. Other than the neighbors being a little snobbish, we've haven't had any real trouble. But yesterday after work I realized just how rude children are these days. The home we live in is in a brand new development. We only really have 2 neighbors as of yet. One right next door and then one across the street in front of us. So, the kids from across the street are in the middle of the street passing the football, which is no big deal, except for the fact that they have a yard and plenty of room around their own house to pass the football and really shouldn't be playing in the street. Anyway, I hear something hit the front of MY HOUSE! So, I walk to the front door and see the kids in my yard walking in my flower beds to retrieve their football. The kid then stood in my yard and kicked the football, which was meant to travel to the street in the direction of his brother, straight up in the air! This football hitting my house could have damaged a number of things from the garage door to breaking a window. And then who would be left footing the bill? Especially if no one was home to see who did it! NO RESPECT!!!! Parents just don't teach their kids to respect other peoples property anymore! People work hard for the things they have and We don't bother any one... We don't have parties, we don't stay up all hours of the night making noise or anything... So don't bother us!!!! Keep Your Kids Off Our Property!!!!

my neighbor is a cooker...he cooks meth...has 2 juvinile delequent sons who might go to school twice a week...that's if they're not suspended...the little dweebs puposely throw their football across the fence..then make themselves welcome to my side..they have blown up their shed while cooking meth..causing us to have to hose down our own yard to put the debree out that floated over while on fire...the fumes from the fire lasted for days...who knows what we were breathing...he and his buddies are up for days...you never know if they are wandering around your property while you're sleeping..they have trashed their yard...we'd never be able to sell unless it was to blind deaf people...and here's the good part...he's on porole for cooking meth...dud..ya think he learned anything....and if you're wondering where the cops are...they dont come to this side of the county unless there's donuts involved....thank you...have a nice day...

I have lived in my home since 2002. I am boardered on 3 sides by street and only have on neighbor touching property with me. When I moved in he took the time to come over and show me the property markers that are to huge steel post embedded in the ground. We got the property at foreclosure so it was massively grown up. Since we have lived here and taken back the growth of the greenery we have noticed a problem. Every time I move an obstacle from his path of mowing he mowes farther over on me. The house came with a deck that went right to the property line and we took it out right after we moved in. After that it really started coming over on us. I caught him out mowing one day and asked him to show me the markers again, as we stood looking down the property line with his mower sitting a full 8 feet over in my yard he said from this stake to the that stake behine that tree. I just wanted him to see where his mower was at. I didn't want to be the jerk and say anything at that time. Long story longer we have removed yet more brush in the last 2 years and I have removed an old storage building that was here from the old owners. I don't even have to mow my back yard now. I live in town and have a double lot, big front and side yards but little back yard. Well Ky has got this funny little law on the books with a thing called a prescriptive easement. And from what I gather it is like any other type of easement, except that where permission is obtained for an easement, he only needs to maintaine the land for seven years. Everyone says the same thing well he can't take it from you or build on you, and that is correct. The problem is if he claims prescriptive easement and I want to pour my new patio per city code all the way to within 1 foot of the property line then this guy could fight me on it. The same way a land owner who is land locked and has an easement might have legal recourse if I try to cut them off from their land after they have crossed mine land for an establised length of time. So what to do? I have rentals sitting vacant like crazy right now and paying for a fence isn't cost effective accross that back now. I have to do something before July 2008 to stop him from mowing over. Anyone know of a good website to get plans for a cheap do it yourself fence. That panelized stuff from lowes would run me a small fortune, but I would need it to look decent, no chicken wire like my dad suggested. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

A newly wedded couple moved into the house next door six months ago and we've only spoken over the fence several times during that time. Several months ago, they purchased a Labrador puppy who lives outside. They are both nurses and work crazy schedules that take them away from home the better part of the day and night. I'm sure the puppy gets lonely because he barks all the time. Every time we sit on our patio, he barks until we just give up and go back inside. Now, he's trained himself to respond to the chime of the alarm on my patio door and will bark if you simply open the door. We've tried to make friends with the puppy, but he just stands at the fence and barks at us. One neighbor on the back side of their property erected a six foot privacy fence, but that didn't stop the puppy from barking at her, even though he can't see them when they walk outside. We are all at our wits end. The couple knows the puppy barks because he does it even when they are home and they just let him bark. The sad part of this story is that the city dog catcher lives on our street and he won't do anything about it!!! I need advice.

I, just found this site and read some comments. CONCERNED of course about the problem with meth. ice and crack in our communities. The police Know who they are, it is obvious, just look at the people, and you can tell. Sometimes I feel like the answere would be to open a giant crack house and let them get as high as they want and not bother the rest of the community,s involved. BECAUSE THIS PROBLEM IS EVERYWHERE. what are the police to do, they are already swamped with other problems and I'm sure they look the other way alot because they see so much B.S. My sister just died a couple of weeks ago due to meth use, an enlarged heart and stpped breathing in her sleep. My sis was only 42, died 3 days before her 43rd, used to be a outstanding person. A teacher, a nurse, a great person in life, UNTILL she met her meth neighbors that moved down to the south from Jersey. That was the end of my sis as I knew her.. She thought it was her miracle diet program. It ruined her life, she heard noises under her house, blamed all her neighbors for her problems and just basically freaked out. I have contacted the narcotics dep. and spoke to the coroner. Heard nothing yet, but if I, or anyone else doesn't speak out about this out of control problem with our society and catch these people, put them away where they belong, nobody will be safe. Your brother, sister, mom, dad, husband, wife, and our sons and daughters.. Don't be afraid to speak out if somethings not right in your neighborhood, it just might save a good life. warning signs are definatly people that don't work, stay up all night and have hi traffic comming and going from there home or apartment, think about it. I unfortunately live in a trailor park and i can honestly understand how they got a bad rep. in the years we've lived here we've literally had the nieighbors from hell. violent crackheads , theives, child molesters, even a suspected murderer. Blaring music is nothing compared to what we've put up with.Some people don't even have electric because they don't pay thier bills , others are full of cock roaches. They throw thier trash every where and pile it outside thier doors.Oh and course blare thier music. It does no good to complain because the manager does nothing. (except keep raising the lot rent) We are hard working people who would do anything for anybody. We mind our business and keepour yard and trailor neat and clean We don't bother anybody and don't feel we deserve to live like this simply becausewe are raising kids and can't afford a down payment on a house right now.

I just read the post by ciilian and he is Correct. I live on campus at a university in the south and my neighbor, exhibited all the same traits: really thin, messed up teeth, did not work, made noise ALL night, and there was a lot of traffic coming and going from her place. She used to hammer on the walls which seperated my place from hers ALL the time. I'm trying to study, and when I complained, she did it a little softer!!! Give me a break!!! Well guess what, she was arressted two weeks ago. Her mom came to move out her stuff and told me she was doing METH. She was a rotten neighbor. Glad she is gone, but also hope she get some help while iun jail.
