My Current and Past Projects
Crowd Fusion
Crowd Fusion's platform is built to eliminate the pain points of publishers at scale. The platform is running this website and is my current primary project (Day Job). It is a colaboration with Brian Alvey co-founder of Engadget and Weblogs Inc. This blog is running on Crowd Fusion as well as Obsessable and Super Eco.
Atari Ace
Atari Ace is a website that sells vintage video game systems and games. I started the site in the late 1990s as way to help fund my hobby and get rid of duplicate equipment. Although there is a lot of items for sale from my personal collection, you'll notice some of the prices are very high on items that I'd have a hard time parting with. My father Mike Wood helps with the site and sells all of the Atari 2600 inventory. Eventually I'd like to put my entire collection onto the site and have it be more focused on the collection than the sale of the items.
Wikirage
Wikirage is a tool that tracks the entries in the Wikipedia that are getting the most edits over different periods of time. I started this project to see if I could find an alternative to traffic data for judging Internet trends.
I was very impressed with the results and how they mirror what is going on in popular culture.
